Barrett admits that it’s a welcome opportunity to shuffle a depleted pack

After the frustrations of Saturdays thrilling home draw with Retford United, Grimsby Borough travel to Dunswell Park for tomorrow night’s Toolstation NCEL League Cup Third Round tie with East Yorkshire Carnegie –and Wilderness Boys Joint Manager Daniel Barrett admits that
it’s a welcome opportunity to shuffle a depleted pack, writes Colin Muncie.

Daniel told the Bootiful Game, “It is a game for us to have a look at a few lads and see where they are at. We have a few out through suspension and injuries and it will be a good game for lads to get some minutes under their belts -and hopefully get back to winning ways”.

Joint Manager Nathan Collins wants to prove something of a point to tomorrow’s opponents, and recalls their last encounter in the League in November “I think it will be another tough game like it was the last time we played them -but hopefully we can show that we have improved since then.”

“Even though we won that game we didn’t play well at all.”
