Earlier on this morning NCEL Premier Division side Thackley announced that their management of Chris Reape, and his Assistant Andy Patterson was stepping down due to personal reasons.
The Bradford based side have now appointed their new management team, with players Mike Garrod and Patrick McGuire stepping into the frame.
A statement on their official website says:
Following the departure of Chris Reape and Andy Patterson, the club has decided to appoint from within and the new joint management team is made up of current players Mike Garrod and Pat McGuire with Joe Brown as coach.
Mike is a highly respected player and coach who currently works with the Academy set up at Guiseley while Pat has a wealth of experience around the non-league scene and played professionally at Bradford City. They are joined by Joe Brown who also played professional football at Bradford City. Mike and Pat intend to continue as players and Joe, who is currently on the injured list, will be in the dugout.
We look forward to a new era under this youthful set up and we are confident that they are the right team to take the club forward.
