Honest words from Mason ahead of tough Rainworth test!

The big games just keep on coming for fourth-placed Maltby Main in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division. On Saturday they head to Kirklington Road and a tough-looking collision with Rainworth Miners Welfare, just three points behind them- and as they prepare for the Wrens game, Miners Manager Scott Mason has the reverse fixture last Mid-August firmly in his mind, writes Colin Muncie.

Scott told the Bootiful Game “On Saturday we travel to Rainworth who came to Muglet Lane earlier in the season and impressed me. Attacking wise it was probably one of the best teams we’ve come up against all season-and in the end we lost with a last minute goal. But this week we’ve had a game called off in the Cup which helped us get a much needed training session in to work on a few things that we pointed out as a problem , so over these next few weeks we expect to see more improvements in these areas” .

“But if I’m honest we have a good set of lads who will be looking to get over last Saturday’s disappointment of another late goal -and keep pushing this club forward”.
