VALENTE: They are playing for their shirts now- we have to turn the corner, and no more excuses!

“Baptism of Fire” just doesn’t cut it as a description when you consider the start to Adam Valente’s solo Management career at FC Bolsover. Three consecutive, stinging defeats see his side in nineteenth in Toolstation NCEL Division One –but Adam is definitely no quitter, and he’s been vigorously shuffling his pack before Saturday’s’ clash with sixteenth-placed East Yorkshire Carnegie at Langwith Road, writes Colin Muncie.

Adam told the Bootiful Game “Well after last week things need to change very quickly I have had to make three new signings and changes in personnel within the squad. We had a great session on Tuesday night- it’s not ideal swapping players and bringing new ones in but it’s what we have to do.”

Adam knows that his new-look side need to develop some resilience-and quickly. “We have to start being stronger and working harder to get points on the board” Adam admitted. “There is some talent in the squad but now they have to show it. They are playing for their shirts now- we have to turn the corner, and no more excuses.”

“Michael (Bohan, First Team Coach) and I know the score – it needs to start happening”.
