PIRIE: We need to re focus and put a show on to emphasise we are the best club in this area

Eleventh placed Bottesford Town head to the Humber this afternoon and an appointment with  Barton Town, who sit nineteenth in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division-and the Poachers Head of Media Operations, Howard Pirie, wants to put Wednesday’s league Cup reverse behind the squad as quickly as possible, writes Colin Muncie.

Note that this fixture is subject to a 10.30 am pitch inspection.

Howard told the Bootiful Game “We had a night to forget on Wednesday versus Campion. We need to re focus and put a show on to emphasise we are the best club in this area. I’m a great believer in the fact that you only get out of life what you put in. Barton will be pumped up to get revenge over us after our 3-2 win at Birkdale Stadium earlier in the season. Fitness will be paramount as their pitch can be quite heavy at this time of year”.

Howard is also keen to meet up with a few familiar faces “It will be also be nice to catch up with Gareth Barlow and Mike Thompson who left for the big city lights of Barton, and nice for Dayle Hutson to prove to Barton they made a mistake letting him go as he’s been a revelation for us”.

“Botty on Tour -always a good grin on a Saturday with the BBA”.
