After conceding 26 goals in their previous four Toolstation NCEL Division One fixtures, twentieth-placed FC Bolsover went down 3-0 at home to East Yorkshire Carnegie (16th) at the Langwith Road Ground yesterday-but Bolsover manager Adam Valente felt that it was a step in the right direction for his beleaguered side, writes Colin Muncie.
Dan Walker gave EYC a half-time lead after 24 minutes in front of 31 spectators, and Tom Whiting (63) and Jordan Denby (77) completed the visitors’ away win.
Adam told the Bootiful Game “Much improved from the week before. We’re starting to look like a team that belongs in that league; we lost due yet again to individual errors and poor finishing as their keeper made some great saves. We had lots of spells to win the game, for me, but when your luck is out these things go against you.”
“We move on to Wednesday night’s local derby with Shirebrook –a tough one”.
