Twelfth-placed Rossington Main’s recent resurgence under Lee Danysz hit a bump in the road last Saturday with a home defeat to Swallownest. This weekend, Main head down the A1 to Walesby Lane and an awkward-looking match-up with 14th-placed Ollerton Town-and the Rossington Manager wants his players to apply the necessary punctuation mark to memories of last week’s loss, writes Colin Muncie.
Lee told the Bootiful Game “I’m after a performance that shows last week was a freak day. Every department needs to now prove their worth and work as a team. I thought we were devoid of ideas last week, and we didn’t create a single opportunity. It was clear, though, that Swallownest had done their home work and credit to them- they fully deserved it”.
Lee isn’t expecting the Town to roll over on Saturday. “Ollerton are on a good run and we will be hoping to start our own little run again” he told us.” Ollerton are always a well organised team and they have a lot of quality around. We still have our own objectives and last week’s disappointment doesn’t change that. I still feel they can be achieved but it will take consistency in our performances. It all adds up to an interesting fixture, one I’ve always looked forward to wherever I’ve been. They are always spicy -but in a good way”.
“Dave (Winter, Ollerton’s Manager) , will also be getting his lads ready -and we have to expect that side of the game as well”.
