Eleventh-placed Worksop Town head north of Bradford tonight for a tricky-looking Toolstation NCEL Premier Division clash with Thackley, who impressed last time out with a home draw against in-form Penistone Church-and Tigers Caretaker manager Craig Spink is hoping that his club’s supporters will roar the players on to victory tonight, writes Colin Muncie.
Craig told the Bootiful Game “First and foremost, I am concentrating on improving the team. Saturdays result didn’t change anything as to what I think about the team. I am very excited about tomorrow’s game. In the two previous games we were good for 45 against Ponte, then probably 65 mins against Albion Sports, dominating the second half -so hopefully it’s third time lucky with three points from a complete performance. We need the same unbelievable support on Tuesday -and I have trust and belief that the Tigers fans will deliver”.
Craig doesn’t feel that he’s too far away from a decent formula at Sandy Lane “We will have to get the little details right and build on the way we have played the last couple of games-but we have to be totally focused. Thackley will be a tough test, having recently lost their Manager and needing points, so we will have to be at our very best.
“Saturday has given us confidence that we are playing the right way -and all the lads are really positive”.
