It’s Toolstation NCEL League Cup Third Round action at the Welfare Ground tomorrow night when Division One’s eleventh-placed side, Rossington Main, welcome one of the Premier Division’s top performing outfits, Rainworth Miners Welfare, to Oxford Street-and Main Manager Lee Danysz will be taking the opportunity to make up his mind on a number of his players, whilst not underestimating the quality the Wrens are likely to have on show, writes Colin Muncie.
Lee told the Bootiful Game that he’ll be doing whatever is necessary to get his group pulling in the same direction. “We will be using the game to give other players important minutes” he said.” There’s a chance for those to stamp their personality on the game and prove their worth to the squad. Over the last few weeks I’ve learnt a lot about the personnel in and around the club and I can say a few will be given a chance to prove that they belong here -while others will be moved on. We can’t afford to carry those who can’t see the new vision of the club and management”.
Lee is expecting a tough night against the men from Kirklington Road “The game will be tough” he admitted “Rainworth are doing really well and have assembled a strong squad. They may change things around also but will show what strength in depth they have. We know what to expect irrelevant of what team they field.
“It will be good though to test ourselves against higher opposition -and see our lads tested and how they react”.
