Clipstone unveil new logo with a nod to it’s heritage

Last week Championship side Leeds United unveiled their new logo and it basically went down quicker than a lead balloon. Today though, NCEL Premier Division side Clipstone have released their new logo for the 2018/19 campaign – and it’s a cracker!

A statement on their official website says:

2018 marks 90 years since the formation of Clipstone Football Club and a new look logo has been announced for the 2018-19 season to celebrate our clubs history.

Clipstone FC was established in 1928 as Clipstone Combine using a ground off Mansfield Road and playing in the Colliery Alliance League. They were then re-named Clipstone Boys Brigade, and moved to a ground at Baulker Lane, before becoming Clipstone Welfare in 1955 and subsequently moving to The Lido Ground which is still their home today.

For the first time since 2013 the Club has included the year of its foundation – 1928 – as a nod to its rich history within the Clipstone community. The new badge represents a special moment for the Club and we will be doing some really exciting things and really want to celebrate our 90 years with the great people that have helped, supported and played for the club.
