Bebbington starts Dronfield fight-back & Millington is delighted!

And in a flash, Dronfield Town are up to fourteenth in Toolstation NCEL Division One after a come-from-behind 3-1 win at Armthorpe Welfare this afternoon-and Dronfield Manager Chris Millington admitted that his side upped their game in the second half at the Welfare Ground, writes Colin Muncie.

After a goalless first half in front of the 54-strong crowd in Doncaster, the home side hit the front through Darren Mansaram (58 minutes)-but three unanswered Dronfield goals form Samuel Bebbington (63 mins), Callum Mawbey (74) and Mark Fereday (84) took the points back to Derbyshire.

Chris told the Bootiful game “It was another game of two halves for us today.  In the first half, we were poor, lost our discipline and big Lew (Naylor) in goal definitely kept us in the game. We had a chat at half time and the lads looked much better in the second half. It was one way traffic after the interval and our fitness showed in the later stages”

Acknowledging an important milestone, Chris quickly switched his focus to a big midweek game “We have equalled last year’s points total and climbed a few places in the league” he said, adding “We now need to turn our attention to Tuesdays game at Yorkshire Amateur- which will be tough”
