Nodder admits last season, this might have been a different result

Third-placed Maltby Main took the bragging rights with a 3-2 home win over South Yorkshire rivals Parkgate in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division yesterday –and after the game, Miners Josh Nodder admitted that it had been quite a battle, writes Colin Muncie.

Josh told the Bootiful Game “I thought we dug in well today and got a good reaction after Wednesday’s defeat. The pitch didn’t help but it was a typical derby and Parkgate pushed us right until the end.

Josh feels that the manner of the win demonstrates the progress Scott Mason and his side are making “In past seasons we would have probably conceded the equaliser late on” he admitted “so it was good to see the win through, which still keeps us in the mix at the top -and shows just how far we have come this season”.
