It’s been a hard few weeks since Adam Valente took over as sole manager of FC Bolsover just before Christmas – but he has added a firm favourite of TBG in ex-Cleethorpes Town and Bottesford Town (to name a couple) striker Chris Funnell.
He joins from John Corbett’s Bottesford Town who held his NCEL registration but effectively joins from Hykeham Town.
“I’m pleased. It’s been a tough season in the main. Started at Bottesford but for personal reasons had to leave early on in the campaign and play locally. At the local club I played for was one of the best coaches, if not the best coach I’ve ever played for so it was great to work with someone of that calibre but for other reasons it didn’t work out.
“I’m pleased to have signed for Bolsover, I know Michael Bohan, have done for a while. Had a conversation and it all happened pretty quickly. I’m pleased to be back at a good level with some form of professionalism. I’m focussing on securing safety at this level for the club, scoring some goals and that starts with a massive game this weekend against Brigg.
