It’s been a very tough couple of months for FC Bolsover manager Adam Valente who took over as sole manager just before Christmas – as they hadn’t recorded a single point and had conceded 44 goals.
However, in the week Valente had signed a couple of decent players and yesterday it made the difference against second-bottom Brigg Town.
A single goal mid-way through the first half from James Munson separated the sides – as an frustrating end to the game saw The Zebras end with just 9-men.
Valenete was obviously over the moon with not only the three points, but also the performance, “What a game for a us. The game was massive and we come out on top and it is great to get them three points.
“The lads worked hard today, very proud of my players who worked hard for them points – every one of them.
“They put a shift in it, wasn’t pretty at times but it’s points on the board and a clean sheet.
“I can’t ask anymore of the players they have earned there beer tonight and i can’t wait for next game. ”
