Hallam play-off push continues tomorrow as they ideally need a win

We are certainly getting to the business end of the season – and with it – each and every game becomes more and more important and none so more than NCEL Division One Hallam FC.

They may sit 10th in the standings but have games in hand over some of their rivals – and tomorrow they face a trip to Ollerton Town.

Hallam have lost just once in the past eight league games but a few too many draws has seen them drop back but the trio of Hallam’s management team are up for the challenging last few weeks of the season.

Scott Bates said, “Big game as usual for us, want to keep the momentum going from last week, and we want to finish the 2nd half of the season strong.

“We know what to expect it’s just a matter of getting a few consistent results together for us and see where that takes us.”

Stephen Whitehead added, “It’s another that we need to win to have any hope of gaining a playoff spot. There won’t be many changes to the squad an that consistency will look to gain reward. The lads were excellent last time out an we’re looking for the same again.”

Lastly man mountain Dean Bamforth finished with, “Yeah looking forward to it, we had a good win sat with positive signs so the next one can’t come quick enough.

“We beat them 3-0 at home but if I remember it was pretty tight till late on. We play two a week for next few weeks so it’s important to be more consistent and hopefully put a run together.

“Must add as you guys know it’s weekly that the officials are getting slated, do we ever get any feed back from the assessors? Surely it’s time to realise it can’t always be us?!”
