FA Vase Quarter-Finalists part company with managers just 48 hours after defeat

Hellenic Premier Division side Bracknell Town have had a great season so far. They currently lie 5th in the league and reached the final eight of the Buildbase FA Vase, their best ever run but have parted company with their joint managers Jeff Lamb and Paul McGrotty.

They were beaten by Marske United in the Vase on Saturday 3-0 in front of an impressive crowd of over 1,000.

An official statement on their website says:

Yesterday we made the very Tough decision to part company with Jeff & Paul. We would like to thank them for their efforts in their short time here and wish them all the best for the future.

Carl Davies has been appointed Player Manager until the end of the season and we welcome back Geoff Warner as Assistant Manager. Reserve Team Manager Andy Findlay will take the team to Longlevens tomorrow night in the cup.”
