Twelfth-placed Dronfield Town will be looking to get back that winning feeling this weekend when they welcome FC Bolsover, nineteenth in Toolstation NCEL Division One to Stonelow Road-and, as Dronfield manager Chris Millington explains, there’s a special reason why the home club are hoping that the fixture beats the elements, writes Colin Muncie.
Chris told the Bootiful Game “ We‘re looking forward to this weekend’s game- weather depending -as the club is running a free entry day to hopefully engage with more of the local Community and show them what we have to offer at the HE Barnes stadium”.
Chris has kept an eye on Saturday’s opponents, and provided some insight into how Managers at this level set out a Plan B in the event of weather disruptions “Bolsover have been through a couple of transitions this year but seem to have found some stability” Chris noted “and again it will be another tough game where we will look to get back to winning ways. When there is a doubt over a game like this weekend’s, it’s always difficult for managers as we have to have a backup plan for if the game is off. I put it on the players’ agenda early that we will be training if the game is off and this seems to work. We have an area just outside the pitch that is always available.
“The surface is not great so we mainly focus on getting the players heart rate going and working hard for an hour or so”.
