Third-placed Grimsby Borough were originally intended to head to Armthorpe Welfare tomorrow for an important Toolstation NCEL Division One fixture – but Joint Managers Nathan Collins and Daniel Barrett are already considering a range of alternative activities in the event of a postponement, writes Colin Muncie.
Nathan told the Bootiful Game “I’m 99% sure Saturdays game will be off which is not ideal as we are in good form at minute. If it is off, then we will train on the 3G pitch at Bradley; and if that’s not open we will be doing some fitness on the beach -as it’s important to keep the lads ticking over”.
Daniel told us “Hopefully the weather will not be too bad from now until Saturday. I’d love to say” Get the orange ball out and shovel out the lines “but we know it’s not that easy. We have arranged to train but that also depends on the facilities being available”.
“If that fails then it will be Weelsby Woods for hill sprints and sledging back down- oldies vs. youngies”.
