Sarel opens up on training difficulties

East Yorkshire Carnegie’s Assistant Manager Lewis Sarel isn’t optimistic of his side’s trip to fourth-placed Yorkshire Amateur going ahead tomorrow, writes Colin Muncie. He told the Bootiful Game “It’s very unlikely that we are going to see much football this weekend and it’s highly unlikely our game will go ahead. It makes it difficult to prepare really because we have struggled to get any training sessions in due to the weather and the travelling conditions”.

Lewis provided an insight into the practicability of organising a workout for his squad in the event of a postponement.” We will more than likely have some kind of fitness session on Saturday if the game is going to be called off but getting numbers to something other than a game is always hard” he admitted “People have the option to work instead and pick up some money -which is something you can’t really grumble about- but makes it hard to get everyone together for a session”.
