With the finishing line just beyond their line of sight, league leaders Knaresborough Town begin two visits in four days to Langwith Road when they face FC Bolsover in Toolstation NCEL Division One tomorrow– and with Shirebrook and Dronfield waiting to ambush his squad, Knaresborough Assistant Manager Paul Clayton is well aware that it’s a big seven days for his players, writes Colin Muncie.
Paul told the Bootiful Game “Saturday is the start of three really difficult away games in a week. We are on a great run at the minute and the squad is in a good positive frame of mind. The new signings all made their debuts on Tuesday against Armthorpe and they integrated well with the lads and will bring welcome competition to the squad. That’s exactly what we need in the final ten games of the season, as it keeps everyone on their toes”.
Paul is disregarding Bolsover’s league position (they’re nineteenth). “I have said plenty of times before, that there aren’t any easy games in this League and we will prepare correctly and expect another tough away game” he said ” I am sure Bolsover will try and make it as difficult as they can but we have got to raise our game, work hard and ensure that ,with the ball, we are creative in the final third”.
“If we do all that then we give ourselves the chance of a positive result”.
