Huge game at Sandygate as a win for Hallam boosts play-off hopes

It’s a vital clash at Sandygate tomorrow beween two sides desperate to keep their Toolstation NCEL Division One Play-Off hopes alive.Ninth-placed Hallam welcome tenth-placed Rossington Main to S10 – and the Countrymen Management Team all appreciate the magnitude of the fixture, writes Colin Muncie.
Joint Manager Steven Whitehead has one eye on the weather. He told the Bootiful Game ” We’re hoping the weather holds off so that the game can go ahead as the weather is due to be bad again. The game being on ,then we’re on a decent run at the minute and look to carry that on in will what will be a real test for us. We played our first game in over two weeks and got the win on Tuesday. We will train Thursday and hopefully have a lot of fresh legs for the game on Saturday.”
Joint Manager Scott Bates added “It’s a- massive game in our hopeful play off push; it’s a game where we can’t really afford to make any mistakes, but a game we all should be looking forward to, games which can make a difference”
Assistant Manager Dean Bamforth knows that the Play-Off picture isnt anywhere near finalised and notes that his players are better equipped to win “ugly” if they have to. “The forecast isn’t good again but we’ll prepare until we re told differently” he said ” It should be a cracker against a resurgent Rossington. A couple of Play-Off hopefuls slipped up in the week so it’s still all to play for. I feel our performance on Tuesday night tues wouldn’t have given us three points earlier in the season but the squad now seems to find a way to win in these games”.
“Again we’ll mix up the squad and hopefully be competitive”
