Millington admits it’s a free hit tomorrow

Dronfield Town, sitting in twelfth in Toolstation NCEL Division One, welcome league leaders Knaresborough Town to the H E Barnes Stadium on Saturday-and with his side’s recent renaissance firmly back on track after a hard fought win over Swallow nest in midweek, Dronfield Manager Chris Millington is looking forward to benchmarking his team’s progress against the best the Division currently has to offer, writes Colin Muncie

Chris told the Bootiful Game” We are looking forward to Saturday as it’s always nice to pit your wits against the best team in the League. I think anyone in our position would look at this game as a free hit which means we approach the game relaxed, and under no pressure”

Chris admits to being a little bemused by his clubs upcoming schedule, and told us that he’ll be managing his squad accordingly.” Saturday will be our first game in three days as we host Liver sedge on Monday evening in the League Cup “he said. “We then have an 11- day break until our next game- which at this point in the season with everyone’s fixtures stacking up, seems crazy.

“We will be looking to rotate the squad for these two games to ensure that we are as fresh as we can be”.
