Watson feels it was the right result last night

Winterton Rangers Rob Watson

Stalemate at the TJ’s Travel Arena in Castleford last night as Glasshoughton Welfare (8th) and Winterton Rangers (7th) played out a goalless draw in front of a crowd of 85 to keep both sides firmly in that Toolstation NCEL Division One Play-Off hunt-and Rangers Manager Rob Watson felt that it was absolutely the right result after a hard fought ninety minutes, writes Colin Muncie.

Rob told the Bootiful Game “It was always going to be a draw from the way the first twenty minutes went. Both teams battled for ninety minutes and it was like a tennis match with the ball going back to front from both sides. Both sides equally wanted the three points and we kept cancelling each other out with excellent defending. For us it’s a clean sheet and hopefully keeps us in the Play- Off fight for another week”.

“I told the lads that all the teams around us -including ourselves- have some difficult games, so we just have to focus on our games and keep in the fight as long as we can”.
