WIDDOWSON: If we put in the effort and commitment, I’m sure we will get what we want from the game

Toolstation NCEL Premier Division basement side Clipstone will be hoping to snare that first win tomorrow when they welcome eighteenth-placed Barton Town to the Worksop Van Hire Stadium tomorrow –and Cobras manager Alan Widdowson has been delighted by the way his side have prepared for the game, writes Colin Muncie.

Alan told the Bootiful Game “After a few very difficult weeks and the results against us we had to get the lads motivated at training ready for another big game on Saturday against Barton. The response in training was exceptional from the guys, and I and Jamie are very pleased with the attitude and application. We worked on a few important bits and it went well. Barton will be again another very difficult game with their League position too close to the drop for comfort”.

“They will come and try and get something out of the game -but if we put in the effort and commitment, I’m sure we will get what we want from the game.
