Williamson hoping midweek win is a turning page to kick-start season

After that fine midweek win at Athersley Recreation in midweek, Staveley Miners Welfare, seventeenth in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division will be looking to put clear blue water between themselves and visitors Hall Road Rangers (20th) when the sides meet at Inkersall Road this Saturday-and Trojan Connor Williamson is hoping that the big win at Sheerien Park is a massive peg in the ground, writes Colin Muncie.

Connor told the Bootiful Game “ The team felt that they owed Brett (Marshall, Manager )the fans a result after a hard couple of months and hopefully this can be the start of putting a run together. It was good to play with Joseph Pugh again as I was together with him at Doncaster Rovers. It’s nice to see the squad finally gelling”.

” Hopefully this is a turning page for our season to see how high up we can finish.”
