We are TBG towers really do feel for NCEL Premier Division basement side Clipstone- as they have only accumulated a solidarity point all point- but they keep plucking away to their credit.
Today they were defeated 5-1 by Lincolnshire side Barton Town and Clipstone manager Alan Widdowson was as honest and wholesome as ever
“After the set back of two early goals we started to get some very good possession of the ball and started to create our on chances. This was helped with Barton going down to 10-men.
“To be fair on there part it was a silly elbow but justified a red.
“We got the goal back and the confidence was there to push on. We played very well in the second period without being more ruthless in the final third and got punished for lack of concentration and basic mistakes.
“Fair play to Barton they made it difficult for us to break them down and was very well organised. Which you have to give credit to there management team.
“The positives are there to move forward as the score line definitely didn’t do our performance justice.”
