After two consecutive defeats, the most recent at Swallownest, Nostell Miners Welfare, 18th in Toolstation NCEL Division One and twelve points clear of the relegation places, welcome 16th placed Ollerton Town to the Crofton Community Centre on Saturday –and Nostell’s Joint Manager Jason Dodsworth is looking to confirm his side’s League status as soon as possible , writes Colin Muncie.
Jason told the Bootiful Game “We are demanding a much better performance and three points. People might be taking it easy coming to the final run in but that’s one thing our management team aren’t going to accept. You’re never safe until it’s mathematically impossible to go down and we won’t accept anything but 100% from our team. When we beat East Yorkshire Carnegie, the performance was poor and unfortunately we took that into the next games so we need to get back to basics on Saturday. If we give 100% and get beaten then -fair enough- we will accept it and hold our hands up”.
Jason admitted that he and his colleague have half an eye on next season. “It’s hard at this stage of the season for us as we are also looking to next season and identifying our targets that we think we will need” he said.” We are hoping we can get this club back to the Premier League and are ready to give it a big push next season.
“The club has great facilities and volunteers, and they deserve some success after the last couple of years they have had-so we will be hoping we can give them that”
