Glassy hoping to boost play-off bid tonight

Glasshoughton Welfare occupy that precious sixth spot in Toolstation NCEL Division One. Tonight they’ll attempt to put more clear blue water between themselves and that chasing pack when they face tenth-placed Campion at the TJ s Travel Arena in Castleford – and Glassy Joint Manager Lee Vigars had given us his pre-match views before the pitch passed its 3 30 inspection, writes Colin Muncie.

Lee told the Bootiful Game ” We ‘re not sure yet that the game will go ahead tonight after so much rain over the past 48 hours but we will be prepared to go if needed. We picked up a few knocks from the win over Rossington on Saturday so tonight is a good chance for some of the squad to come in and stake a claim for a shirt during the run in. Conor Glavin is struggling with a knee injury and Rob Oldham will also be missing tonight.”
Lee isn’t about to write off Campion’s chances of playing beyond the end of the regular season .”Campion are still very much in the running for a top 6 finish so will come here determined to take all 3 points back to Bradford” Lee warned .”There’s been very little between us over the last couple of seasons and I don’t see tonight being any different.”
“Fingers crossed the inspection passes and the game gets the green light.”
