With only that narrow League Cup Fourth Round home defeat to Liversedge since their last Toolstation NCEL League fixture on 13th March, it’s no wonder that Dronfield Town Manager Chris Millington gets off the blocks first today as we begin our look forward to Saturday’s League Programme. Chris takes his 14th-placed side to Worsborough Bridge Athletic, in 20th spot and still uncomfortably close to the bottom two-and having had a period of relative inactivity, Chris is bracing himself for an onslaught of fixtures, writes Colin Muncie.
Chris told the Bootiful Game “Having played one game in 25 days we are really looking forward to getting back on the pitch in what will be a really competitive game. Worsbrough is never an easy place to go, so we will need to make sure that we apply ourselves for the full ninety minutes if we are to have a chance of getting anything out of the game. Saturday is the first game of six in an eleven day period for us, so myself Nick (Siddons) Coach Chris Bullock will be sitting down and looking at selections for these games to ensure that we are as fresh as we can be. The target for us now is to achieve the clubs highest league finish at this level”.
“If we then go into next season with the same target, then the club is moving in the right direction”.
