It’s the beginning of the toughest period ever for Dronfield – 5 games in 8 days!

With their well-earned promotion to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division confirmed at the weekend, Knaresborough Town head to 14th-placed Dronfield Town on Tuesday evening-and although Dronfield Manager Chris Millington is full of admiration for the North Yorkshire club, his side won’t be rolling over as they have their own fish to fry, writes Colin Muncie.

As you’d expect, Chris was keen to acknowledge the visitors’ tremendous season. He told the Bootiful Game, “We’re looking forward to entertaining the Champions-in-waiting Knaresborough on Tuesday, as it’s always nice to pit your wits against the best team in the League. Full credit must go to everyone connected with Knaresborough as they only need four points to claim the title -which will be a great achievement”.

“We have our own target so we will be up for the challenge after a disappointing result on Saturday” Chris insisted. “It’s the first of 4 games in 6 days for us so we will need to make sure we get enough points over this period to reach our end- of- season goals -and I know the lads are fully committed to making that happen”.
