Knaresborough have chance to wrap up the league title tonight – weather permitting!

Knaresborough Town have the chance to confirm the Toolstation NCEL Division One Championship with a win when they visit the H.E. Barnes Stadium and fourteenth-placed Dronfield Town this evening-but Assistant Manager Paul Clayton is expecting Chris Millington’s players to provide a searching examination of those Champion credentials, especially in the middle of a busy series of games, writes Colin Muncie.

Paul told the Bootiful Game “We are really pleased that we have confirmed one of the automatic promotion places, but we can’t rest on our laurels just yet. I am sure Dronfield will prove a difficult opponent as they have had some good results lately so I have no doubt they will give it everything on Tuesday and make it as difficult as possible for us. This is our 3rd game in 5 days with another 3 to come in the next 8 so we will have to use the squad again”.

“It’s really difficult for all the teams at the minute with lots of games in quick succession, so we will go into the game looking to work hard and do all we can to get a positive result”.
