Bradley isn’t surprise at the twists and turns of the NCEL Division One

It’s second top versus second bottom at the Kingsway tomorrow when Eccleshill United host Retford United in Toolstation NCEL Division One in a crucial game at both ends of the table-and Eccleshill’s captain Sam Bradley isn’t surprised at the twists and turns the division is providing, even at such a late stage of the season, writes Colin Muncie.

Sam told the Bootiful Game “Firstly have to say how competitive this league is; recently we have seen some shock results and I think it’s fair to say that our last game at home to Brigg provided another shock twist. If you go into a game thinking you can turn up and win then you are very much mistaken. I think Saturday’s  game is a must win game for us; we have some very tough games coming up and a win on Saturday will give the lads the confidence to push on and get this promotion wrapped up in the last four or five games.”

Sam thinks that his side haven’t applied themselves at the same level in recent weeks “ We have the quality in the squad ,as we have shown all the season” he stressed “I just think we haven’t had the same work rate as of recently. I can assure you the lads want this second spot and starting on Saturday, we will do everything in our power to get the job done”.

Sam isn’t taking anything for granted “Retford had a very good result in midweek against Brigg, so I expect a tough game. We must prepare well, have a good attitude, work hard and I think the quality will shine through”.

“Hopefully we have a good turnout at the Mitton Stadium to cheer the lads on”.
