Gill: I see it as a great opportunity to bring young players through at this level – they are the future, after all!

Fresh from that fine 4-3 away win at Sandy Lane last week, Hall Road Rangers, just two points adrift of safety with four games in hand, welcome 9th-placed Rainworth Miners Welfare to Haworth Park today in Toolstation NCEL Division One-and although Rangers Manager Bill Gill has been a keen observer of events at Kirklington Road over the last week or so, he’s not daft enough to take the Wrens for granted, writes Colin Muncie.

Bill told the Bootiful Game “We play another team with nothing to lose as they have different ambitions next season so they will play with freedom -but also take nothing for granted so it’s a difficult test for anyone”

Bill has grasped the opportunity to blood some impressive young players during Rangers hectic fixture schedule, and he’s been absolutely thrilled by their contribution-and he has signposted the future at Dawson Drive.  ” We have a number of injury concerns so it’s another good opportunity to rotate the squad” he told us “19 year old Charlie Birley came on against Staveley and made an impact :we went on to win the game,  and Reggie did the same against Worksop -and we went on to win. It shows that giving young hungry players an opportunity can pay off. There’s too much emphasis on money and who’s who at this level”.

Credit to Bill for giving youth a chance. “I see it as a great opportunity to bring young players through at this level -they are the future, after all”
