Brigg Town climbed off the bottom of the NCEL Division One this afternoon after a superb 3-2 win away at Nostell Miners Welfare.
The Zebras initially fell behind through Adam Knight (9 minutes), but equalised midway into the first half with a Jonny Nicholas strike.
Once again Nostell took the lead just before the break however Brigg equalised two minutes after half-time, Nicholas getting his second of the afternoon.
The turnaround was complete on 68 minutes with a smart finish from Jake Crossland gifting Brigg their second win in four games, “Told you there would be ups and downs till end of season. All I wanted was a reaction and I got that so we will take seven points out of twelve and prepare for Thursday’s game.
“Five days rest now and like I said before we will fight until the end and I can’t ask for anymore. If the players wasn’t playing for me I would walk now but I know they want it as much as us so credit where it’s due; we go again.”
