Handsworth hit Clipstone for six and Colliver’s pleased

It’s welcome back to Handsworth Parramore Manager Jas Colliver whose side drew level on points with third-placed Pickering Town in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division after their 6-1 home win over bottom side Clipstone at Sandy Lane yesterday –and although Jas felt that his side were better before the interval, he was pleased with the points haul from a demanding three days, writes Colin Muncie.

The home side were 4-0 up at the break thanks to Jonathan Hill (14 minutes) Jed Phillips (22) Parirs Dixon (39) and Brad Nicholson (44); and the 100-strong crowd watched as Alex Rippon extended Parras advantage to five (57), before Blessing Adeleye (69) got the Cobras on the board. Jamie Green rounded off the 6-1 win right on time.

Jas told the Bootiful Game “After an impressive result and display on Thursday we knew today was going to be a mental test. We did a professional job in the first half but got sloppy during the second half. We’ve scored six goals by six different scorers which is pleasing”.

“Two games in forty eight hours and making changes early in the second half was always going to dent our rhythm -but I’m pleased I was able to get some lads vital minutes going into the final games of the season”.
