Bottom side Clipstone were on the wrong end of a 6-1 defeat to fourth-placed Handsworth Parramore in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division yesterday-and Cobras Manager Alan Widdowson admitted that all of the damage had been done in that first half, writes Colin Muncie.
Clipstone were 4-0 down at the interval, and Alan told the Bootiful Game “It was definitely a game of two halves. I thought we were very poor in the first half, making too many mistakes and wrong decisions, and we shot ourselves in the foot. Fair play to Handsworth they capitalised on our errors “.
It was a different story after the break “ In the second half we were outstanding ;our work rate and effort was first class .With a bit more composure in front of goal, the score could of been oh so different . The effort they put in was first class.
“We just need to put two halves together and the results will come”.
