Congratulations to EvoStik side Farlsey Celtic who ran out 4-1 winners over NCEL Division One side Selby Town and won the West Riding County Cup.
Paul Walker put Farlsey in front after just three minutes, then Nathan Cartman doubled their advantage just before the break.
Luke Parkin then scored Farsley’s third before Cartman netted his second of the evening.
Selby’s Liam Flanagan scored a consolation six minutes from time but manager Christian Fox was as proud as punch despite the scoreline, “If only the school ground rules of last goal wins we used to play was used eh.
“In all seriousness though it’s always going to be a difficult task when a team from 3 leagues higher bring their best 11. You have to hold your hands up sometimes and accept that you’ve been beaten by a quality team with quality players.
“I’m proud of my players and the way they’ve managed to get to this final. They deserve a lot of credit and I know the fans and committee will be proud of them also.
“We can take a lot of positives from tonight including the fact that not only have we scored a goal but we’ve threatened to score more too.
“The county cup has been brilliant for us but our number one focus has always been the league so now this is out of the way we can turn our attentions back to the league.
“Congratulations to everyone at Farsley Celtic FC on retaining the county cup.”
