Hallam know the significance of Brigg game on Thursday

No rest for the players and management at seventh-placed Hallam. Hot on the heels of that thrilling 1-1 draw with fellow promotion hopefuls Shirebrook Town last night, they’re off east on the M180 to the Hawthorns and a rendezvous with twenty-first placed Brigg Town in Toolstation NCEL Division one tomorrow night-and the Sandygate Management team are expecting a rip-roaring evening in North Lincolnshire, writes Colin Muncie.

Joint Manager and Podcast veteran Steven Whitehead knows that his players will have to scrap for whatever they get at Hawthorn Avenue. He told the Bootiful Game “I’m looking forward to it. We had to dig deep last night against a good Shirebrook side and the lads showed a willingness not to get beat. It will be another tough fixture as Brigg are fighting for every point they can get their hands on.

We will have to apply ourselves like we have been doing in recent weeks- and look to get the three points we need at the business end of the season.

Assistant Manager Dean Bamforth anticipates all –out attack from the home side “We’re just brushing ourselves off from Tuesday. Brigg away in midweek is always going to be tough; they are absolutely scrapping for their lives so we’re expecting the kitchen sink coming at us. They’ve beaten Shirebrook and Swallownest and also drew with Eccleshill so we know they can play.

“We finished strongly on Tuesday so we’re hoping to take that down the M18 and give it all we’ve got. We’ve no new injuries or suspensions, so we are in decent condition”.
