“Sun’s out, guns out” for man mountain Pirie in Pickering tomorrow

The sun has got his hat on for Bottesford Town’s Head of Media Operations, Howard Pirie, as the bronzed Adonis heads to the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors with his tenth-placed Poachers squad to tackle title-chasing, third-placed Pickering Town tomorrow- and Howard anticipates a tough ninety minutes without being entirely clear as to which Bottesford side will turn up on the day, writes Colin Muncie.

Howard told the Bootiful Game “It will be nice to have a game of football in the sun. Pickering Town will be a tough ask, as they could still get second spot and pip Mansfield. We just have to wait and see if we have the mental fortitude we had against Hall Road or the no gumption against Staveley. I fear for our mental resilience tomorrow as I’m not driving the bus. Some of the lads don’t take criticism too well but I as a supporter feel gutted when we lose. They would lose all their respect for me if I told them that they were brilliant every week. The BBA are behind them all the way and we would love it if we can come away with some kind of result”

Howard paid tribute to the Cobras fine draw with Hall Road last night “I would also like to praise Clipstone last night for coming back from two goals down to salvage a draw- they could have felt sorry for themselves and given up.

Back to tomorrow “Sun’s out- Guns out “
