Earlier today we brought you news that North Ferriby United owner Jamie Waltham had plans to allow travellers onto the site of the club – to generate income – but now the local council have put a block on this – quite literally – by installing concrete bollards at the entrance to the ground.
A spokeswoman for North Ferriby Parish Council said: “In view of Mr Waltham’s recent statements to the press, that he intends to open up the football ground to travellers, the Parish Council as Trustees of the playing field felt they had no alternative but to take prompt action to prevent such an occurence.
North Ferriby United owner, Jamie Waltham, wants to open the ground to travellers to supply a demand for space. https://t.co/NOE8NVoLwJ
