Five points above the relegation zone with three games left in Toolstation NCEL Division One, it doesn’t come much tougher for East Yorkshire Carnegie tonight as they head to fifth-placed Shirebrook Town, who could still pinch that second automatic promotion spot-and Carnegie Assistant Manager Lewis Sarel wants to put that weekend loss to Worsborough Bridge Athletic behind him, writes Colin Muncie.
Lewis told the Bootiful Game “We go into tomorrow’s game on the back of a disappointing result at the weekend and will be looking for an improved performance. We really would like to pick up another win before the end of the season after going on a run of defeats and it’s not something we are happy with. All the players are still working hard but it just doesn’t seem to have clicked for us at all recently; but hopefully we can change that tomorrow night.
“They are a good team that are chasing promotion so we know it’s going to be a difficult game against a team that score plenty of goals”.
