The job done- and his side indisputably the pick of Toolstation NCEL Division One, Knaresborough Town Assistant Manager Paul Clayton has had to adjust to consecutive defeats since his players clinched the crown. No major drama there, we hear you say; but as the Champions head to Stonelow Road to tackle Chris Millington’s hungry Dronfield Town pack, Paul is determined to arrive in North Derbyshire in more familiar mood, and wants to make life difficult for the hosts, writes Colin Muncie.
Paul told the Bootiful Game “We have two games left of a long hard, but ultimately, a very successful season. We have had two losses in the last two games, which isn’t ideal, but maybe understandable as mentally everyone relaxes. We have got to get back to doing what made us lose 2 out of the first 38 games. We have some players back for the weekend -and collectively from the Management and the players we have got to regain our focus and finish the last two games strongly”
“No excuses -we need to put on two performances”.
