It was a night to remember for Worsbrough who guaranteed safety with an important 1-1 draw with fellow relegation threatened Brigg Town.
A second minute Calan Rollinson goal set Worsbrough on their way. Brigg equalised on the stroke of half-time but that’s how the game ended sparking jubilant scenes in the dressing room.
Manager Lee Morris was obviously delighted, “Job done we’ve made the impossible become possible and fair play to my lads they deserve all the credit the way they have conducted themselves since christmas is nothing short of fantastic.
“The way they have stuck together and how hard they have worked for each other they certainly can all sit next to one another and say I did everything I can for my team mates which is all a manager can ask for.
“I’ve said it in the three managers job, dressing rooms win you games and keeps you in leagues. I would just like to put on record a massive thank you to the people behind the scenes at Worsborough because if it wasn’t for the volunteers then non of this would have been made possible so this achievement is for them.”
