Pirie: As in the words of Brian Clough “Rome wasn’t built in a day, I wasn’t on that particular job”

Bottesford Town, eleventh in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division, entertain a Worksop Team who have lost their last ten games (and fallen away to fourteenth as a result) at the Birkdale Stadium this afternoon –and Poachers Head of Media Operations Howard Pirie wants to make the most of a clutch of home fixtures in the next seven days, writes Colin Muncie.

Howard told the Bootiful Game “We welcome Worksop Town tomorrow to Stadio Del Birch at the start of 4 home games on the trot. We really must make these home games count and not undermine all the good work we’ve achieved in reaching last season’s points total. Whilst our opponents are going through a terrible run of form we cannot feel sorry for them, as no one would for us. It’s club presentation night a week tomorrow and it would be nice to go there 12 points better than we are now”.

Bottesford have one away match left-a short trip to Marsh Lane, road works permitting. “Just our derby game against in- form Barton Town and we can put to bed the longest season in living history” Howard added “ On a positive note the BBA has more than 500 followers; it would be nice to get some of them into the ground.
