Well done to Lee Morris, his staff and the many volunteers at Park Road; not only have Worsborough Bridge Athletic confirmed their place in Toolstation NCEL Division One for next season, but last night they hosted a poignant and successful “Show your support for Luce” event prior to Glasshoughton’s 2-0 win , a result which takes Glassy into the Play-Offs, writes Colin Muncie.
Lee told the Bootiful Game “First of all I just wanted to say what a fantastic night it was for the Rollinson family and I thank every single person that came and watched. I thought both brothers were magnificent on the night and I’m sure they made their Mum and family proud”
Turning to events on the field’ Lee had few complaints with the outcome “ On the night I thought we were beaten by a side with that extra bit of quality” he admitted “ and you could tell who had something to play for ; I wish Glasshoughton all the best in the Play-Offs
With his mission accomplished, Lee is looking forward to a well-deserved break “ It’s now time to relax have a holiday and some much needed family time and see what the summer brings” he said.
“I will sit down with Worsborough -hopefully sooner rather than later- and see what the ambition is for next year”.
