Last game of the season for Hemsworth Miners Welfare tomorrow night when they head to nineteenth-placed Hall Road Rangers at Haworth Park looking to confirm an excellent fifth spot in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division-and Wells Manager Wayne Benn is hoping that the blow of the inevitable motorway closure on the way home is cushioned by his side pocketing another vital three points, writes Colin Muncie.
Wayne told the Bootiful Game “Tomorrow we travel to Hall Road Rangers looking for a win that would hopefully secure us a 5th place finish. We know it won’t be easy-far from it-but we have to apply ourselves properly one more time and if we do, I’m confident we can go and get the performance and the result we are looking for. I have sympathy for Hall Road; they have already played twice this week, but we must go there and be professional. Whether they are tired or not, I’m expecting a really difficult game if the reverse fixture is anything to go by -and they had a very good result last week against Handsworth, so we know what they are capable of”
“Again we won’t be at full strength -but I’m looking forward to the game” Wayne added.
“We want to finish on a positive note”.
