Tenth-placed Bottesford Town have their sights set on eighth place in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division with three games left of their League season . Tomorrow night, they look to take another step towards that objective when they welcome relegated –and depleted-Parkgate to the Birkdale Stadium –and Poachers Head of Media Operations is hoping for a repeat of the reverse fixture just before Christmas, which Bottesford won 2-1 with a last minute strike from the sizzling Dec Bacon. First, though, Howard reflected on events at Ontario Road on Tuesday night, when their game with Liversedge was abandoned well into the second half, writes Colin Muncie.
Howard told us “It was a crazy night last night; Liversedge ran out of players after their exertions the night before. We did what we had to do, and have nearly wiped out our negative goal difference. Three games left and we are all done-. Parkgate tomorrow, Clipstone Saturday and we round it all off with Barton on Monday. Eighth place is within our grasp – but its one game at a time”
The Dandy Highwayman is looking forward to catching up with the Bootiful Game editors and Parkgate’s Vice Chairman-and Howard’s modesty will be front and centre “ It’ll be nice to meet up with Craig and Colin tomorrow as they tell me I am -by far -their favourite correspondent”.
