No rest time for Mason as pre-season starts now for Maltby

Barring a serious mishap in their final Toolstation NCEL Premier Division fixture away at twelfth-placed Barton Town today, Maltby Main will finish fifth in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division, just reward for an excellent season at Muglet Lane –and their Manager Scott Mason, feels that the outcome is testimony to the commitment at every level of the Miners organisation, writes Colin Muncie.

Scott Mason told the Bootiful Game “We visit Barton tomorrow for our final game. It’s been a long enjoyable season and one we won’t ever forget. The lads have worked hard and I must thank everyone of them who have been involved, even the lads that are now not with the club  Sitting 5th going into the last game is really down to everyone who has crossed that white line”

As Scott reflected on an excellent campaign at Maltby, he’s not expecting too much of a break “After taking over with only one week to prepare and having zero preseason is rewarding” he admitted .” I’d say I’m ready to put my feet up and chill out for a few weeks, but that’s not happening this year , We want everything in place so we can prepare right for next season and get a good preseason set in place”

“We’d like to thank the Chairman and everyone behind the scenes for all the hard work throughout the long season, and also our sponsors who have contributed to the campaign”, Scott added.

“Thank you to everyone involved .Up the Miners!”

The Bootiful Game would like to thank Scott, Wilf and everyone at Maltby Main for their fine contributions during the season.
