NCEL Division One Squad of the season

It has been a superb and exciting season in NCEL Division One, with the play-off final demonstrating all the difficulties throughout the campaign. Eccleshill ran out 3-2 winners in extra time in a game which last 3 1/2 hours!

Knaresborough Town galloped to the title, winning the league by 12 points, whilst Yorkshire Amateur claimed second place in a superb game on the last day against Eccleshill United. The play-offs were a hot-bed of action as well, with Grimsby Borough beating Glasshoughton Welfare 3-0 and Eccleshill beating Shirebrook 4-2 after extra time.

We have, after much debate, come up with a “Squad of the season”. It may not be a popular choice and players may have been missed out that you feel should be in the squad, however, football is full of opinions and debate.

So here goes:

Jack Rushworth (Knaresborough Town)

Tom Marsden (Yorkshire Amateur)

Conor Donaghue (Knaresborough Town)

Will Lenehan (Knaresborough Town)

Sam Bradley (Eccleshill United)
