It’s only been a couple of weeks since the end of the regular season but Pontefract Collieries continue their re-signing of players – and this time is their formidable striker Eli Hey.
“We are pleased to announce that last year’s top scorer Eli Hey has committed his future to the club. Despite attracting obvious interest elsewhere, Eli decided that his immediate future was with “The Colls” as we head into the Evo-Stik league for the 1st time in our history.
Eli was instrumental throughout the campaign and scored 34 times for “The Colls” in our title winning season.
Colls fans will be delighted that one of there favourites has pledged his future to the club and we look forward to seeing him score more goals in a Colls shirt this coming season.
The management team said “We’re delighted that Eli has committed his future to the club. Eli finished the season as the club’s top scorer and we genuinely believe he would have gone on to score over 50 goals had his season not been interrupted. We’re excited to work with him again and look forward to seeing him progress further”
